Lack of debate brings regression. This is what Minister of Agriculture Anila Denaj stated in the Debate studio on A2 CNN, speaking about the lack of discussions with the opposition on the 2024 budget. According to her, the initiatives of the opposition were not presented due to the jamming of the assembly.
"Debate brings progress and the lack of debate is even more regression in a tense climate. The initiatives of the opposition are important to bring to the attention of all parliamentarians and were not presented due to the deadlock and this is a low level of representation. Constructive debate only brings improvement.
Responding to Sali Berisha's accusations about the budget, which he considered clandestine, Denaj stated that they are untrue and, according to her, they are among those who have created this chaos.
"I do not respond to false accusations and to those who have created this chaos and are responsible for these communications that are within the legitimacy of the functioning of the state and the procedure to approve a budget that is not of the majority and the figures are not of the SP, but to the entire affected population, starting from the needy strata".
Even for economic experts, the budget without debate is a disaster, since opposition is necessary.
"It is the country's financial constitution. Representation from all sides is important. A budget without debate, opposition is essential to the budget. The opposition would correct and balance and it would be more balanced if voted for," said expert Artan Gjergji.
"It is a national disaster that we do not have the opinion of the opposition MPs. We have lost a lot", said Fatos Çoçoli. (A2 Televizion)
