Apart from the objections to the agreement between Albania and Italy for immigrants, a positive reaction comes from the mayor of Fushë Arrëzi. Hil Curri, who comes from the ranks of the opposition.
In a letter he sent to Prime Minister Edi Rama and foreign embassies in the country, he offers accommodation for immigrants. In Ditar's studio on A2 CNN, he denies that he betrayed Berisha for this decision.
"I come from the "Together We Win" coalition as a candidate, but I have also been a representative of civil society for years. I have not betrayed anyone. Theologically I will defend those who defended us. We have hosted Jews, Italians, the Kosovar Albanian brothers, but these are theories of closed camps".
He says that he made this decision in a humane and sensitizing way, since Albanians have suffered at the expense of emigration.
"The meaning of the letter was the humane part, that we, like all Albanians, were in emigration and were welcomed by all the EU countries, and he made a comparison to me, that if there were 5 thousand or 3 thousand from Ukraine, there would be requests from all over Albania, if they were black, there would be no requests from Albania. I have also discussed it with the staff. We ask to be part of the support for a part because we have relatives in emigration and every Albanian knows under what circumstances. I couldn't stay in the shade. The piece is sensitizing and humane.
He expressed the willingness of the Fushë Arrëzi community to provide them with a supportive environment where they can access the necessary resources.
