Socialist Party MP Etjen Xhafaj has stated that the DP is preparing a scenario to accuse the government of vote theft, after losing the elections.
Xhafaj made the comments on 'Weekend Diary' with journalist Erion Dushi on A2 CNN, where he said that when the DP governed the country, it left it with debts and pyramid schemes.
He also added that the diaspora's vote cannot be bought and the opposition's accusations are slander. According to him, the majority is doing its utmost to mobilize people to support it on May 11, writes A2 CNN.
"We have seen what they have done the two times they have been in government. The first time they left with their pyramids and their pits, the second time they left with their unpaid debts and their pits."
Mobilization has been the prerogative of the Socialist Party since 2009, when I joined. So all the time. Not just for elections, but all the time. Since 2013, when we have been governing Albania, the responsibility is even greater, to communicate with the residents, with our voters, even with those who do not vote for us and who do not vote at all.
The mobilization in Tirana comes as a result of the impact that Tirana has on the electoral map of the country. It is also the economic engine of the country. It is also the region that has the largest number of votes for the SP. Thus, the behavior of colleague Braçe is an additional mobilization that is being done in addition to the new arrivals that will be added to the Tirana and SP teams for the May 11 elections.
"Registration is a necessary part of the diaspora vote process. The opposition knew this from the beginning. The will on the part of the SP has been for the diaspora vote since 2009. There is a great focus on engaging and mobilizing our relatives in the diaspora to vote. The opposition is preparing a scenario that we have seen in all the recent elections," said Xhafaj.
