Today's session in the Laws Committee has been included in the debate, a day after the arrest of Tirana Mayor Erjon Veliaj, where the chairwoman of this committee, Klotilda Bushka, is part of the investigation, as she is suspected of obstructing the discovery of the truth. It was the Democratic MP Dash Sula who asked the chairwoman not to lead the Laws Committee, as according to him she has neither the legitimacy nor the morality to lead it. Sula has also requested that today's meeting of the Laws Committee be led by Dhurata Çupi.
In response to this request from the Democratic MP, Chairwoman Klotilda Bushka said that this is a laws committee and not an investigative committee. According to her, she will clarify the issues raised by the Democratic MP in the relevant bodies.

Dash Sula: I think that this session is not normal for the Laws Committee and with the greatest regret I state that before I came here to the committee, I thought that you would not be leading the Laws Committee. This is from the morality of a citizen and then from the morality of a politician of the Albanian deputy. I have been in parliament for 20 years and I have told you other times and that this is the first time during your government that the Laws Committee has never been led by the opposition, although when we were in the majority, Deputy Speaker Xhafaj occasionally led the Laws Committee and the cooperation and functioning of the Laws Committee has been fruitful.
Yesterday's arrest of the mayor of Tirana has brought a new situation for the Laws Committee as well. I would not like to go into more detail, but from a procedural point of view it would not be fair for you to lead the Laws Committee, while according to the publication of the materials and a statement by SPAK it appears that the chairwoman of the Laws Committee has prevented the discovery of the truth. When this happens from the chairwoman of the Laws Committee, imagine what situation we are in. Call to your conscience and from this moment on, do not lead the Laws Committee, but Ms. Çupi, because you do not have the legitimacy and morality to lead the Laws Committee. I would kindly ask you that it would be in your honor and that of the Laws Committee to have a unifying reaction to this situation. You can leave it to Ms. Çupi to lead it.
