In the "Sy m'Sy" column, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that as of today, the procedure for closing TikTok has been completed, making the platform completely out of operation in Albania.
The head of government also advised citizens not to use VPNs to regain access to TikTok, as according to him, their personal data is seriously at risk from hackers.
"The procedure for closing TikTok has been completed for smartphones and on the other hand, the way to avoid blocking by using a free VPN is very dangerous since it is universally known that hackers are famous for stealing phone data. Keep this in mind and endure without TikTok for some time until we complete the joint program with the company, which will soon come to Albania and present the plan for teenagers," said Rama.
