The head of the Union of Journalists, Aleksandër Çipa, has stated that no decision is expected from the US to remove the 'non-wife' of Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha before the May 11 elections.
Çipa made the comments on 'Diary' with journalist Andi Nuraj on A2 CNN, where he said that regardless of how things are going in the US, there does not seem to be any indication to remove the 'non-women' from the former prime minister.
He also said that the declaration of Berisha as 'persona non grata' by two important strategic partners, the US and the UK, has caused the former prime minister a blow to his public image.
"A year has passed since several investigation processes began, which, although they have not officially advanced and have not followed the deadlines, are still under investigation. It is a process that has de facto caused a blow to the public image, and even to the international image, due to the fact that it was announced by the two most important countries of the Albanian strategic alliance, namely the USA and Great Britain.
"Regardless of how things are going and the contexts that are being created, alluding to or hoping for the possibility of removing the ban on women from the US, which officially as a procedure in all likelihood remains after May 11 and there is no accelerated action or official indication from American institutionalism," said Çipa, writes A2 CNN.
