The meeting of the Regulatory Commission at the CEC failed due to a lack of quorum, making it impossible to review an important proposal for the continuation of the electoral process in the Vlora Region outside official hours.
The focus of the meeting was to review the request to extend the voting deadline in 55 polling stations in this district, due to restrictions on movement caused by the international sports event "Giro D'Italia". However, the absence of two opposition members, who boycotted the session, led to the failure to reach the necessary quorum for its development.
Without the presence of these members, the Commission was unable to consider the proposal, jeopardizing the full involvement of citizens in the voting process in the areas affected by the sports activity.
The CEC has not yet announced whether there will be a second attempt to call the meeting, while citizens in the affected areas are calling on the authorities for immediate solutions. (A2 Televizion)
