The Ministry of Health is failing with the strategy for providing psychosocial services in health centers.

According to this document, by 2025, primary care services should provide physiotherapy and rehabilitation services for people with special needs, but even in the few centers where there may be a physiotherapist, the equipment does not exist.

This fact was made public by multiple sclerosis patients themselves during a hearing at the health commission.

Tanush Caushipacient, head of one of the multiple sclerosis associations, says that the physiotherapy necessary for their rehabilitation is privately covered by their families, writes A2 CNN.

Even three long-requested drugs were able to enter the reimbursable list after 10 years. The lack of physiotherapy services in primary care has also been acknowledged by leaders of the Ministry of Health, while the opposition has called it yet another failure.

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune neurological disease. With the appearance of symptoms, mainly after the age of 30, the disorders progress until the affected person is disabled.

Officially, there are 923 patients in our country, but according to associations, there are over 1,800 people affected by multiple sclerosis.
