The leader of the Right for Development coalition, MP Dashamir Shehi, attacked the prime minister today, saying that Edi Rama is dividing people, with some living in luxury and others in extreme poverty, according to him.
Shehi made the comments during a meeting he held with Mr. Alibeaj in Durrës, where other members of the coalition's leadership team and candidates from the Durrës district were also present.
Shehi also said that if people want change, they should vote differently from how they have voted for the past 30 years. He said that the Right for Development coalition, with number 9 on the ballot, has clean and honest candidates.
"We have come to convey our message to you. We are for change. The real change is to vote for number 9, to vote for people who think differently if we want change. Then the rest we judge to be that classic rotation. We are against this government. 12 years is a long time, even for the best government in the world.
Therefore, the citizens of Durrës know their problems. We are not going into urban issues here… This is a big city, it has historically been a rich city. It cannot be divided so that a handful of people have luxury palaces, some Arabs, some Italians and the rest are still where they are. If you want to vote, vote for different people.
"If you vote for the same people you voted for 30 years, you will continue for another 30 years with this kind of history. We believe that change comes from people and the candidates we have put forward are young, untainted, they do not have the histories of the other 2 parties, who go in and out of prisons.
