The Complaints and Sanctions Commission decided to recount the votes for the Fier district. Two of the three members of the KAS considered Adriatik Lapaj's request for a recount of the votes valid, where the CEC filter will include not only votes for parties but also for candidates. The decision also benefits the Democrats, who had only requested a recount of some of the boxes in the district.

The certification of the election result for the Fier region must once again pass the counting filter. Two members of the Complaints and Sanctions Commission, Ledio Braho and Elvis Cefa, legitimized Adriatik Lapaj's request for a recount of votes for this electoral zone.

The first count of this district produced 12 mandates for the Socialists and 4 for the Democrats, while Adriatik Lapaj was 518 votes away from receiving the mandate, votes which he claims to have in the boxes that will be recounted.

The DP also benefits from the decision, which had requested the opening of only some of the boxes. However, the Democrats numerically have no hope even in the event of a recount, since the difference for the fifth mandate is about 6 thousand votes, but as the saying goes, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend", so they are in favor of this decision, hoping to keep Zegjine Çauşi, Gazment Bardhi's famous challenger, out of parliament.

The CEC must now prepare for another round of voting, as Fier, along with Tirana, are the two largest regions in the country that will be recounted. (A2 Televizion)
