The political leader of the Fier District, Belinda Balluku, spoke exclusively to A2 CNN about the voting process, counting and results so far from the May 11 elections.

Balluku said that the DP has a blocking tactic and has always used it. "It is an old tactic that is always used by the opposition to block, but I have never found an answer as to why it is used. The result is now closed, it is in those boxes behind us. Every second lost is a weight on the backs of the men and women who are part of the counting groups, it is a weight in terms of the process, the schools are closed and what is better than the process ending, which is already an administration process. I do not understand where they want to go, but this is a story that is repeating itself and must come to an end."

Further, Balluku stated that the 12th mandate in Fier was a surprise even though the counting process has not yet been completed.

"In 2021, the result we got in Fier was not considered good by the SP, so our mission was to work throughout the region to work with the Socialists to return the tenth mandate, the one we lost in 2021. In discussions, I came to understand that we could go even further and we had planned to go even further, but we did not wait for the 12th mandate, it was something unpredictable. I want to say something else, we have to wait until the end of this process, as it is a kind of electoral code that has brought a different way of calculating. Let's show our enthusiasm in the last box."

For Balluku, the DP will not recognize the elections. "The Democratic Party will not recognize the elections either, we have always heard this. The DP is always stolen and violated, while they are the main violators both for the aggressive language and the dirty language they use, the bullying they do, the facts and slander they do. Having said that, it does not bother me at all as long as the CEC is an independent institution."

In the end, she criticized her opponents for the language used. "It was a very ugly campaign here by the DP, it didn't even include meetings with the people or anything, just dirty posts on Facebook, posts that, in addition to political mud, are bullying language for women. I was the target, Zegjine Çaushi, a 26-year-old girl, who was left with nothing to say, and another girl who was called the leader of the Lushnja gangs. I know that everyone laughs at these stories and then they are surprised by these results," Balluku said on A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
