The European People's Parties (EPP) have decided to include Albania on its agenda for verification missions.
The decision came after the request of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, who asked for the assistance of the EPP and sister parties during his speech at the EPP political assembly in Brussels, to send a fact-finding mission to our country.
The EPP Secretary General, Dolors Montserrat, stated: "We decided to do two missions, one in Lebanon and one in Moldova, but now we will also prioritize Albania. I think it's a good idea when you ask us for something, so we will set it as one of our priorities and objectives to do a mission in Albania."
Berisha's request came after he declared at the EPP Parliamentary Assembly that the DP had thousands of documents proving the Albanian government's connection to drug cartels and the interference of criminals in the May 11 election process. (A2 Televizion)
