The leader of the Albania Becomes Movement, Adriatik Lapaj, through a Facebook post, demands a recount of the votes in the Vlora and Fier districts.
Lapaj claims that after reviewing footage from counting centers and reviewing minutes from CEAZs, it turns out that the "Nisma-Albania-Behet" coalition was deprived of one mandate in Vlora and Fier by the Socialist Party.
" The Fier and Vlora districts need to be recounted. We just received the footage, as it was made available to us in full yesterday, and we started watching the footage, and it turns out that there are significant discrepancies between the actual votes in the boxes and the minutes approved by the CEAZs. Given the fact that our mandates in these two districts were taken by the SP with a narrow margin, there is room for a recount ," Lapaj writes.
He further underlines that " for every box where it turns out that the vote has been tampered with, we will take every responsible person to the prosecutor's office ."
"The request for a recount will be submitted today to the CEC. We may not have those mandates, but even if 1 vote is affected, we will be prosecuted," Lapaj writes.
Example of how votes were altered in the minutes according to Lapaj:
ZAZ number 55, BNC 55/3, box 2831/00– problem, 4 votes were added to the SP and two votes were removed from the SHB Initiative;
ZAZ number 60, BNC 60/3, box 3017 – two invalid votes have been passed as valid to the SP.
ZAZ 60, VNC 60/3, box 2997/00 — problem, two votes were added for the DP, 4 votes were added for the SP.
ZAZ 56, VNV 56/5, box 288/01 — problem, two votes were added for the SP and one vote was removed from the Homeland Movement.
