The co-chair of the LZHK, also part of the leaders of the 'Right for Development' coalition, Mr. Ekrem Spahiu, has stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama must definitely leave power on May 11th.

Spahiu made the comments on 'Ditari i Fundjavës' with journalist Erion Dushi on A2 CNN, where he said that time has shown that even the strongest empires and dictatorships fall one day. According to him, the Rama government will also come to an end, regardless of how fragile democracy is in Albania at the moment.

Spahiu also said that during the electoral meetings of the Right for Development coalition, they have encountered the sadness of the elderly, due to the low pensions they receive and the loneliness that has overtaken them, after their children have left the country.

Spahiu also promised that the 'Right for Development' coalition will do everything to influence the next government to increase minimum pensions to 300 thousand old lekë.

"From 2013 to today, Edi Rama has been in power. His third mandate is absolutely excessive. I could not stand watching reality from the screen and the most normal thing is to react. I returned to the LZHK as co-chair, in the same format as in 2005. The problems that Albania and Albanians have are certainly solved by being in power, but also by being in opposition. We have been accustomed to administering evil for 45 years.

Maybe we don't know how to administer good, but we do know how to administer evil. It was the most brutal dictatorship in Southeast Europe and a day came when the dictatorship fell. A day came when that system fell. Time has shown that empires fall, dictatorships fall, not to mention the Socialist Party, no matter how fragile democracy is. We have followed a different approach in the campaign, because the people are in an extremely difficult situation.

"During our meetings, we have encountered the sadness of the elderly, because they are in complete misery regarding their pensions. They feel the pain of loneliness, because their children have left the country. The Right Coalition for Development has a concrete program to increase the minimum pension to 300 thousand old lek per month," Spahiu said, among other things. (A2 Televizion)
