At least 10 MPs. This is the record-breaking goal that Edi Rama has set for the Socialists in Fier, as from a meeting today where he presented the candidates for MP, he stated that the DP and the opposition have no chance against the left in this district.
"In Fier we will break the record in votes. In Fier, no one else has a chance, except for the SP. They have nothing to gain. Whoever does not vote for the SP, casts their vote in vain. It will be a spectacular result. Our objective is a minimum of 10 deputies. Then, if we work harder, we can have even more deputies in parliament," said the leader of the majority.
Further, the head of government focused on the Democratic Party's list of candidates, describing it as a loser and stating that Sali Berisha is preparing a defeat speech for May 12.
He did not spare any irony as he stopped to comment on the Democratic Party's primaries process, even focusing on specific names that remained off the list despite triumphing in the internal race.
"We did not hold primaries but they did not have primaries but unprecedented ones... They left those who won out. The chairman of the DP in Kavaja comes first in the district and they left him out. If you look at the swamp list, it is a list for the opposition. It was made to be with a bunch of blind and deaf and quacks in the opposition. They neither see nor hear, they only recite.
