Prime Minister Edi Rama returned to Vlora. Monday morning found him once again at the municipality, where he held a meeting with the head of this institution and the elected deputies and candidates for deputies of May 11.

After the closed-door meeting, the head of government went out into the field again to see firsthand whether his orders had been implemented.

But again, it seems he found Ermal Dredha wrong and did not hesitate to criticize him.

He then appeared before the media to explain the action he has taken, which he said is being taken to wake up local authorities. Speaking to journalists in Vlora, the head of government called for everyone's commitment, and according to him, even MPs should be more engaged.

Occupying spaces, parking, and water were the main problems according to Rama.

"The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy is preparing a new legal package regarding drinking water, with which I hope, wish and believe, we will baptize the fourth mandate," said Rama.

As for his order for the resignations of the municipality directors, he does not hide his satisfaction, as he claims that even the directors themselves have realized that they were not worthy of the duties they held.

"I am very glad that the leaders of the Municipality of Vlora have responded massively to the call, because I hope at least, that's how I understand it, they have felt it, they have understood that it is useless to pretend that they can stay there in conditions when in many aspects, the performance is not what is desired," declared the Prime Minister.

He considers his fourth term a responsibility, so he asks everyone to understand this.

"The 83 mandates that we have received and the 9 mandates that we have received in Vlora are like nails in the coffin when you sit in the chair, for me. I wish and hope that others feel the same way, so that they do not take their place without improving one thing every day, every hour, because it is a great trust and a very great responsibility," Rama emphasized.

Asked whether his visits to Vlora and the demand for accountability for the directors and the mayor are an abuse of the institution, the head of the executive said the opposite.

"You are concerned that the municipal institution was violated, while I am concerned that the municipal institution violates the entire Vlora every day. So I am for the latter to be resolved, then we will address the violation of the institution at a later time," Rama said.

The Municipality of Vlora will not be the only one to be shaken by the head of government, as he claims that in the coming days he will also visit other cities, where the demands are clear: the release of public spaces and the cleanliness of the city. (A2 Televizion)
