Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that today they held a Government meeting to discuss two important developments.
Rama made the comments through a video published on his Facebook page, where he said that the draft law for the creation of the Albanian Development Bank will be finalized.
He also said that the second development is that the Bank of Albania has just approved a new financing line for small and medium-sized enterprises, with a main focus on agriculture, writes A2 CNN.
Rama added that the financing will be 250 million euros and, according to him, this is the largest volume ever put into support with soft loans, for agro-processing, greenhouses, agrotourism, etc.
"We have just finished a meeting on two development issues. The first is the finalization of the draft law on the Albanian Development Bank. Thanks to the cooperation with a prestigious Italian financial institution, we are ready to add this development engine to Albania at this new stage of the country."
The project is convincing and will soon be put up for public discussion. The bank will be managed by a super Albanian-Italian team. It will guarantee its independent and professional governance.
Second, the Bank of Albania has just approved a new financing line for small and medium-sized enterprises, with a main focus on agriculture. 250 million euros. We have discussed that the Government should support this financing line with a sovereign guarantee.
