Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the meeting on the transformation of the Metallurgical Park in Elbasan from an industrial heritage into a green space, stated that this park "has extraordinary potential and to transform it, an alliance must be created with all businesses."
Rama added that a number of local and foreign architects have been engaged for this. The head of government said that the Park, together with the Auto Moto Park, will be a point that will unite Tirana and Elbasan.
"In transforming the territory of the metallurgical combine into a national industrial park, we want to rely on an alliance with all the businesses present, not only to further stimulate your expansion, but also to build a new concept in the administration of the daily life of this entire territory, which is simultaneously focused on Elbasan. We have engaged a considerable number of foreign and local architects to determine the direction of the master plan. Here the territory is large and there is room to imagine many things and the idea should be that this park should be a destination for everyone and should be done together with the automotorpark", said the Prime Minister.
"To come and work here is a distance equal to or even shorter than the distance it takes to go to work from one side of Tirana to the other. It must be understood that there is potential to open up the capital and give a new energy and breath with these two points, which are very close to each other, the Kombinat park and the Automotorpark. The Automotorpark is not an investment only for Formula 1, but will be a daily destination, but above all for road safety. It will be a European center for increasing road safety according to the best models that Europe has today, thanks to the partnership built with the road safety center in Austria", added Edi Rama.
