After inspecting the Bunavi-Kërkovë road in Vlora, Prime Minister Edi Rama moved to Saranda, where he met with young entrepreneurs who had returned to Albania. He called for investments in agrotourism or agroprocessing. Speaking about the mountain package, the Prime Minister said that this package does not refer only to the 'mountains', but to every territory of Albania. According to him, the first 500 who will apply and start the investment will not pay taxes for a period of 10 years.
"The first 500 who will apply to develop a property for agrotourism, for agroprocessing, or for any other development of a rural nature that requires an investment, but mainly for agrotourism, will have a 10-year period without any taxes. The 501st will pay taxes. For those who have vision and courage, Albania is the ideal place to invest because it gives you the opportunity to then earn much more than what you can earn abroad and by working for others," said Rama.
According to him, beneficiaries of this package could include people in the areas of Delvina or Konispol.
"The name gives you the wrong idea, even though the law that we have passed called the mountains package refers to the mountains in the first place, but as a whole it is a law that refers to the internal territories of the country. Which means also the territories within the entire Saranda region, which include Delvina, Konispoli, Finiqi and where there is a great potential for investment. In the law called the mountains package, although here it is a little different, not completely different, a certificate approved by the Municipal Council is enough, as for the property that may not have a mortgage for reasons related to 7501, that certificate is enough to make the agreement with the state, to obtain the construction permit and to start the investment. The moment the investment is completed, the property is yours, mortgaged."
