Prime Minister Edi Rama, from Zall Herri, stated that Albania has gone through a period of forgetfulness towards the Armed Forces, but now things have changed.
The Prime Minister also announced that recruitment for the Armed Forces has increased 5-fold. He also stated that the Albanian army is among the best paid in the region, with an average salary of 1,550 euros.
"Albania fell into the abyss and then there was a very long abandonment of the defense field. The state turned its back on the Armed Forces. We have increased investments in the defense field 10-fold. Once, investments were made for the entire army as much as today we invest only for Civil Defense. Today we have an Armed Force of the Republic of Albania, towards which young people are looking. Recruitments have increased 5-fold. In the region, we have the best-paid army. Today we have an average salary of 1,550 euros and it is not our last station. We will have an army paid as much as the average of NATO countries. The army will have advanced equipment of the time. Many recruits will have access to soft loans", said Edi Rama, writes A2.
