Prime Minister and Socialist Party leader Edi Rama waited for the completion of the vote count in the country to make his first reaction after the landslide victory in the May 11 elections, where the Socialist Party has so far secured 83 seats in the Assembly. In a post on social media, the socialist leader thanked the citizens for their trust and announced the victory speech he will deliver at 7 pm in Skanderbeg Square.
"Good morning and confessing that I cannot find the words to say tonight at 7 pm in Skanderbeg Square, I thank you sincerely for your unspeakable trust and I wish you a good day!" Rama writes.
The diaspora vote is currently being counted, while yesterday evening the CEC announced the closure of the counting of ballot boxes in the country. The SP secured its fourth mandate with over 52% of the vote and securing 83 mandates, while the DP suffered a decline compared to the previous elections, receiving 34% of the vote, or 50 mandates, 9 less than in 2021.
