As the process of counting votes within the country has been completed and the diaspora vote is currently being counted, A2 CNN reports that the Socialist Party has so far won 52% at the national level, translated into 83 mandates, while the DP has received 50 mandates or 34% of the votes.
Meanwhile, so far, Tom Doshi's PSD has received 3 mandates, Agron Shehaj's Mëndësia two mandates, and Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet and Bashkë have each received one mandate.
While Lulzim Basha, Dashamir Shehi, Elena Kocaqi and Kreshnik Osmani have not managed to secure any mandates.
A2 CNN reports that what stands out so far in the results on the CEC website are the Democratic Party candidates who were on the safe list and are currently outside the Assembly.
Thus, in the Elbasan district, Aurel Bylykbashi of the PD-ASHM coalition was left out, as only the political leader of the district Tomor Alizoti, Edmond Haxhinasto, Klodiana Çapja and Blendi Himçi managed to win.
In the Fier district, Eduart Sharka, who was on the safe list of the DP, was left out, as the Socialist Party in this district won with a deep lead, taking 12 mandates, 3 mandates more than in 2021. The DP received 4 mandates in these elections, 2 fewer than in 2021.
In the Vlora district, out of 4 candidates placed on the safe list, only three won; Bujar Leskaj, Ina Zhupa and Vangjel Dule, while Alfred Hoxha failed to secure a mandate. In this district too, the Socialist Party received 9 mandates, one more than in 2021, compared to the DP, which in these elections dropped to 3 mandates from the 4 it had in the previous elections.
