Rama goes to the United Arab Emirates, participates in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week events

Prime Minister Edi Rama traveled today to the United Arab Emirates, as part of participating in the events of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025, (Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), a global platform, supported by the United Arab Emirates and its clean energy leader, Masdar, to address the world's most urgent sustainability challenges, through joint discussions between countries, that accelerate responsible development and promote inclusive economic, social and environmental progress.

For more than 15 years, ADSW has brought together decision-makers from governments, the private sector, and civil society to advance the global sustainability agenda through dialogue, cross-sectoral collaboration, and impactful solutions.

This evening, Prime Minister Rama will attend the official ADSW reception, with the participation of heads of state and world leaders, senior policymakers and industry specialists, and the gala evening of the Zayed Sustainability Prize, an award that honors the humanitarian and sustainable legacy of the founding father of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which is awarded to small and medium-sized enterprises, non-profit organizations and global high schools with impactful, innovative and inspiring sustainable solutions. To date, 117 winners have been honored with this award, through which the lives of 384 million people have been transformed.

While tomorrow, Prime Minister Rama will participate in the plenary session on the topic "Strengthening Sustainable Progress", and then in the signing ceremony of several agreements between countries such as: the "Trilateral Strategic Partnership Framework for Energy and Infrastructure" signed between the Government of the Republic of Albania, the Government of the Italian Republic and the Government of the United Arab Emirates, as well as other bilateral agreements between the Albanian government and the government of the United Arab Emirates, in the fields of agriculture and finance.
