There will be no bonuses or indexation in low numbers, Sali Berisha promises VAT reimbursement for basket products for all pensioners and families in need when the Democratic Party comes to power.
While making a comparison of how pensioners live in the region and those in Albania, the leader of the opposition presented the scheme of the Democratic Party to come to the aid of the most needy layers.
"I am appearing before you today to inform the citizens that a consumer card will be urgently established, with which 100 percent of the VAT of the basic products of the basket will be reimbursed for every pensioner, for every family on the subsistence minimum, for every disabled person, without exception ".
Berisha also explained how this card will work. "Each invoice of those who present this card will be deposited in a server and at the end of 6 months the balance will be made, 20-30 days back and the card holder will receive all the payments he has made for VAT".
But this initiative will not be the only support for pensioners, as Berisha also proposed proportional payment for the price of water and energy for them.
"I asked the experts and they will prepare the payment, the proportional price of energy and water that they will pay. This is the third package, which I will present as soon as the specialists have done all the calculations for this layer".
The democratic leader also commented on the proposal coming from the ranks of the socialists to postpone the ability of the law on strategic investments. Berisha claimed that this law will be canceled as soon as the Democratic Party comes to power. (A2 Televizion)
