After more than 14 hours of debate, Parliament approved the Socialists' legal initiative that waives fines for illegal construction in rural areas.
The Democrats voted in favor only in principle, and after the amendments presented by them were rejected, they no longer participated in the vote. The opposition considered the proposal of the majority to be a bluff, so they demanded that the arrears along with the electricity and water interest be forgiven.
The union of votes between the socialists and the democrats to approve in principle the draft law on the forgiveness of fines, it seemed as if a common language had been found between the parties. But the understanding lasted only a short time. After the introduction of the amendments of the Democratic Party that asked for the expansion of the beneficiaries, to forgive the arrears of water and electricity bills, the divisions were seen again.
These divisions were also translated into the vote, where the socialists raised red cards for the minority proposals.
Despite the objections of the democratic deputies who did not participate in the vote, the Socialist Party alone approved the law in its entirety.
