The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has arrived at Fier prison to hold a meeting with the former member of parliament imprisoned in this institution, Ervin Salianji.
The Democratic MP has been in Fier prison since September, after the Court of Appeal confirmed his sentence of 1 year in prison for a false report related to the "Babalja" file.
Earlier, former MP Salianji was visited by other officials of the Democratic Party.
Currently, the case for which Salianji was convicted is in the Supreme Court, after the former democratic deputy has filed an appeal. (A2 Televizion)
