The development of the strategic investment on the island of Sazan by the son-in-law of the President of the United States of America, Jared Kushner, was part of the interview between Defense Minister Vëngu and journalist Andrea Danglli.
Pirro Vëngu explained that Sazani remains the property of the state, which will also be a shareholder in this investment. The minister also revealed the investments being made in Pashaliman.
"Sazani remains the property of the Albanian state. We have allowed a strategic investment for the development of the area. We have no alienation of Sazani. Sazani has served for years in a closed place in a country that thought that everyone, big and small, would attack it., and in 30 years no Albanian has enjoyed it. It is returning to normal land available for the country's tourist development and few people know that the state will be part of that investment as shareholders.
"We are investing in Pashaliman and its shipyard so that there will be production activity there again, as the government's strategy is to have two economic pillars for Vlora to develop with the airport, Pashaliman, and military production and tourism," Vëngu said on "Off the Record."
