Prime Minister Rama said that during his government, investments in the army have increased tenfold. He emphasized that today, salaries in the army are the highest in the region.
"It was 28 million euros. The worst paid army in Europe and badly affected by corruption. Today it is 280 million euros. Today it is the best paid army in the region. We have just surpassed Serbia in terms of salaries in the army. We aim that within the fourth mandate in Albania 2030, the average salary will be at the average salary of NATO countries," Rama said.
Further, the prime minister announced that Albania will also purchase a large warship, but did not provide further details.
