Economic cooperation, reforms and integration towards the regional common market are part of the agenda of discussions at the meeting of Western Balkan leaders and senior representatives of the European Union dedicated to the Growth Plan for the region, which is taking place today in Skopje.
Prime Minister Edi Rama and other regional leaders will be welcomed today by the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, at the start of the proceedings of the main meeting on the theme "Stability, Unity, Future", where Prime Minister Mickoski and EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos will address the participants with a speech.
The main focus of the talks is the assessment of the Growth Plan, proposals for new initiatives and economic cooperation through the Regional Common Market, conceived in two discussion panels; The first panel: “Growth Plan: Assessment, next steps and communication”, where the assessment of the Growth Plan in all its pillars will be made, as well as the proposed initiatives in Pillar 1 (Tourism, consumer protection and the Single Market “Highway”) and the links with the Regional Common Market will be discussed.
