Veliaj from the cell: Olsi Dado has forbidden the leaders of religious cults

Mayor Erion Veliaj reacted again today from prison where he has been in custody for more than two weeks, denouncing SPAK prosecutor Olsi Sado. In a long Facebook post, he accuses the prosecutor of fabrication and a banal trap, while denouncing the fact that for days the leaders of religious cults have requested to meet with him in detention, but prosecutor Dado does not allow them.

"The kind guards inform the detainees in each cell about the daily meetings. But, like every day, they tell me that no approval has come from Ols Dado, and even the requests of the religious leaders of the cults, who have been requesting meetings with me for days, have not been approved. I am speechless! God, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing! But, with God before me, I will not go a day without dismantling every fabrication in this banal trap, unseen since 1991!".

Veliaj also clarifies the expenses in Rotterdam, which according to him were paid by the architecture house OMA, attaching a photo of the document that proves the expenses and not by businessman Fatmir Bektashi. He emphasizes that his wife was not on that trip.

"I went to Rotterdam with an invitation and expenses covered by OMA, the Office of Metropolitan Architecture, the largest architecture firm, founded by Rem Koolhaas and Reinier de Graaf. I went to Rotterdam, just as Ols Dado goes abroad, with expenses paid by foreign legal experts. Only a construction prosecutor seeking favors could think that the mayor of the largest municipality in the country is "corrupted" with a trip abroad to grant building permits! My wife was NOT on that trip, I was accompanied by the director of Urban Planning at the time; so, it was a business trip, not a pleasure trip. In fact, my wife has never been to Rotterdam, neither for work nor for vacation."

The mayor of the capital also expresses optimism about victory in the May 11 elections, as in past elections.

"Whoever will look down on me for the dirty sport of daily politics simply shows the helplessness of those we defeated 7 times in a row in Tirana, with votes, not with anonymous traps, and who we will defeat 8 to 2 (I say double for fun, because it will come out 8 to 0) on May 11, together with those who love the city, the country, Europe, and the beauty in our lives."

Erjon Veliaj's full post from prison

Greetings to all,

It is 6:30 in the morning and I have not woken up, as always, to follow the affairs of Tirana early, but for the morning check by the kind guards, who inform the detainees in each dungeon about the day's meetings. But, as every day, I am told that no approval has come from Ols Dado, and even the requests of the religious leaders of the cults, who have been requesting meetings with me for days, have not been approved.

I have no words! Lord, forgive them, for they know not what they do!

But, with God before me, I will not let a day go by without dismantling every fabrication in this banal trap, unseen since 1991!

With these posts, I have proven with facts that any accusations regarding businesses, which are also being blackmailed and persecuted by the greedy builder, are base, untrue, and evil!

I explained that I live in our apartment in Kodra e Diellit BEFORE I became a minister and mayor; I proved that Fusha worked in Tirana to clean up the Square with at least 3 mayors and I DID NOT CREATE IT; I confirmed that I neither knew nor met Palushi, since he obtained a house permit in the village online; and now I am also explaining the latest fabrication, that he took me to Rotterdam in 2016, together with his wife, the developer Fatmir Bektashi.

1. I went to Rotterdam with an invitation and expenses covered (see the photo of the original document of the time in the photo album) by OMA - Office of Metropolitan Architecture - the largest architecture house, founded by Rem Koolhaas and Reinier de Graaf. This house also produced architects Winy Maas of the Pyramid, whom we all love, and Bjarke Ingels of the Theater, whom everyone will love. I went to Rotterdam, just as Ols Dado goes abroad, with expenses paid by foreign legal experts. Only a construction prosecutor seeking favors could think that the mayor of the largest municipality in the country is "corrupted" by a trip abroad to grant building permits!

2. My wife was NOT on that trip, I was accompanied by the director of Urban Planning at the time; so, it was a business trip, not a pleasure trip. In fact, my wife has NEVER been to Rotterdam, neither for work nor for vacation. The same is true when accusations are made with street gossip and Ols Dado directs them with phone numbers stolen from over 10 women around the world, where like a pervert he connects the cake with the pie and becomes a lolo, not only of SPAK, but of the whole of Tirana!

3. And third, Yes, with OMA and dozens of other studios I have continued a consolidated tradition since Edi Rama in the Municipality of Tirana, that even private projects, which receive the permission of the meters that belong to them according to the law, should be aesthetic and tasteful. Olsi, this "useful fool", should have known or asked, that even though the buildings are private, the facade belongs to the city, the municipality and the condominium. Otherwise, how does the municipality charge for the advertisements that are placed on the balconies of the ugly buildings of the '90s? Otherwise, the owner would charge them, oh Sherlock Holmes left in the attempt! Left even in the classroom, they say, that receipt with 5-a of the prosecution's "cream" with buildings and anonymous letters also arrived in prison.

In the end, not only do I not feel embarrassed talking to foreign architects, like those who, when they respond, have to be held by the embassy, because they are still inferior and do not know how to debate with arguments, on the contrary, I have proudly committed the "crime" of talking hundreds of times about how we can make our Tirana more beautiful and aesthetically modern.

The latest project for the Pedestrian Block is the fruit of these conversations with the architects of Walk 21. Otherwise, we would not have won the First Prize in Europe in 2018 for Skanderbeg Square, in 2019 for the New Bazaar, in 2020 for the Lake Park or the one for the "Servete Maçi" school.

I gave you the evidence of the last accusation - whoever has eyes should see, whoever has ears should hear. In the slaughterhouse of Bani Dada, there were neither eyes nor ears, only mutilation.

Whoever will look down on me for the dirty sport of daily politics simply shows the helplessness of those we defeated 7 times in a row in Tirana, with votes, not with anonymous traps, and who we will defeat 8 to 2 (I say that for fun, because it will come out 8 to 0) on May 11, together with those who love the city, the country, Europe, and the beauty in our lives.

Kindness and love,
