The Socialist Party's objective in the May 11 elections is to obtain a fourth mandate with a qualified majority, that is, with 84 mandates. This is also affirmed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, although without mentioning figures, when in the name of the EU membership process, he emphasizes the need for a strong mandate in parliament.
"The point is for the Socialist Party to get a strong mandate so that there is no more fluctuation in the process and no one gets ahead of the negotiations, no one gets ahead of the European Union. Then I won't be here in 2029, my mandate ends in 2029, we have done our job, we have done our job. Whoever it is, whatever it is, I believe it will be a socialist, it could be a socialist, but I will take it and tell it to sit down now, and continue, you Tik-Tok generation, run Albania."
As Rama promises the European passport, citizens asked Prime Minister Rama to reconsider the unfulfilled promise of 24-hour water throughout Albania, which has been recycled in every election campaign for years now.
"These people are not wrong, they give you water on the tip of a spoon, they take the evil from every individual who speaks and speaks as you say. We don't have water, really? We didn't have it, there were only 4 urban areas, there was never 24-hour water, never when we took power, today 43 urban areas with 24-hour water and 98 rural areas, and 11 construction sites and they will go to 54 urban areas and then there are only a few, very few where the inhabited and populated part of Albania will have 24-hour water".
Rama also responded to criticism that he is bullying political opponents with words like "owl" or "swamp."
"There are some who write to me saying, 'What kind of prime minister are you, how do you deal with bringing out those owls, how do you talk? What can I say? I don't call my opponent a criminal, I don't call him a thief, I don't call him a murderer, I don't call him a bandit, I don't call him a gang leader, I don't call him a drug addict, I don't say these things at all. These are beyond bullying, these are ethical scandals, these are shameful by canon, by law and by custom. I don't use these. I don't enter my opponent's family. Have you ever heard me insult my opponents' family members? Never. Never!"
Prime Minister Rama continued his irony with the opposition coalition, which he called the alliance for the magnificent swamp. (A2 Televizion)
