The villages at the foot of the Dry Mountain in the southeast of the country were, among other things, renowned for their cattle breeding.

Today, the number of families that continue this tradition is very small. In the village of Alarup we meet Genci, who left emigration to return to the tradition in his hometown. But, as for every entrepreneur in our country, difficulties, starting from the lack of labor to market prices or subsidies, condition the further growth and development of the business to the point of impossibility.

If the price of milk were to correspond to the real conditions and expenses of livestock farmers and the much-discussed subsidies were truly a support for them, then not only this livestock farmer, but also others would revive the former cattle farms and stop the frightening depopulation of the country's villages.
