Pensioners held their sixth protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office. They demand the increase of pensions and the determination of the living minimum, writes A2 CNN. On the eve of the end-of-year holidays, pensioners state that they are unable to celebrate.
For the sixth time, pensioners and activists of the "Joint Movement" party have protested in front of the Prime Minister's Office. The main requirements are two: determining the living minimum and increasing pensions.
"We want a pension increase. I worked for 35 years in education and to receive a 190 euro pension is a shame, how did it end up like this", says one of them. "Don't be young people, we die for bread. This insistence is for our good", says another.
Young people were also present in the protest, without whose financial help the pensioners say that they cannot even buy the food in the basket. "It is a basic right. I come out to my parents as well as to all my peers. It is the 6th protest and we have not seen any response from the institutions", says one of them.
On the eve of the end-of-year holidays, pensioners point out that they are unable to celebrate, as they will spend part of the bonus on medicines, they claim. "We can't afford medicine alone. We don't celebrate it. If it's not toads, we never celebrate", says a pensioner. "What to celebrate? We don't have the food base," says another.
The status of the miner is another demand that the pensioners presented in their rally in front of the Prime Minister. They said that the protest will continue. (A2 Televizion)
