Earlier, their protest in front of the Ministry of Education was silent... the tears and pain in their eyes spoke. This time, the parents of 14-year-old Martin Can raised their voices and demanded the resignation of the Minister of Education, Ogerta Manastirliu. They said that they are not seeing justice after the murder of their son near the "Fan Noli" school in the capital.
"My Martin is gone, but don't let other 'Martinas' go away. I want the resignation of the minister, the school principal, the caretaker teacher who didn't say a word to me. Where was that teacher who told me in the meeting that Martin was an exemplary child, gathered his friends and made them smile? Ogerta Manastirliu did not bring me even a consolation for Martin. You too, Ogerta, laughed along with three others in Parliament, whom I don't even know. Shame on you, Ogerta! I am a mother who trembles before you," said Martin's mother.
Martini's mother also demanded justice for Martini's friend, Luis Meçen, who was injured in the tragic event. Further, she pointed out the negligence of the school staff about the problems before the serious crime, stating that she had not been informed, writes A2 CNN.
"I also demand justice for Martin's brother, Luis. Thank God for saving him! The tutor didn't say a word to me. It didn't give me any signal that Martin is problematic. Where was she who told me in the meeting that Martin is a model child, that Martin gathers all the other children to smile? Where was she who didn't take me to tell me that they had a fight?", she said.
A month ago, 14-year-old Martin Cani was stabbed to death by his peer near the 9-year-old "Fan Noli" school in Tirana. After leaving the hospital, the Albanian Football Federation has decided to help his friend, Luis Meçen, through the physiotherapists of the national team, to full rehabilitation. While the teenager accused of the murder, Mario Përlleshaj, continues to be under the security measure "prison arrest". (A2 Televizion)
