On Sunday, the news became public that a 17-year-old girl from Durrës died of bacterial meningitis. The Albanian doctor working in Germany, Aurora Dollenberg, spoke about this issue in the midday diary by Bruna Çifligu from A2 CNN.
The doctor talked about meningitis and the vaccine, which, according to her, must be given to children.
"When we are affected by meningitis through bacteria, meningococci, in most cases there are serious complications. Even antibiotics are not effective, it is not for nothing that the vaccine against meningococci is given, which is mandatory. This is a special vaccine because many children react with both side effects and immunosuppression. 20 percent of parents are skeptical about the implementation of these vaccines in Germany as well.
Meningococcus, like all other bacteria, can be acquired externally. Superficial skin wounds allow these bacteria to enter our bodies at high levels. The growth of these bacteria in the blood causes the immunological situation to worsen.
Even the 17-year-old went to the hospital and was given everything that could be given to her, but to no avail because her immune system was weak as a result of the lack of vaccines", said the doctor in Ditarin by Bruna Çifligu. (A2 Televizion)
