Tourism in Shkodra this year seems to have started before the official start of the season. A group of students from Belgium have chosen Shiroka to explore nature and experiment with water sports on Lake Shkodra.

“I think it's a very beautiful city. I wanted to come here because I wanted to see the lake and swim. I really want to see places that have the lake and the mountain together. It's very nice.”

“We chose Shkodra because it is a very beautiful city and there are many mountains here. However, the water in the lake seems very cold. We came because we are students, we have vacations and it is very nice here.”

"This T-shirt is a gift for me and I like it. My first impression, as we say in French, is a beautiful landscape. It's a very nice place, the people are nice, smiling."

The group's teacher had recommended Albania as a destination worth visiting, emphasizing that Shkodra as a city has everything - the Alps for hiking, pleasant evenings on the promenade, but also reasonable prices.

“We chose Albania because it is an opportunity to do adventurous trips. Here we can see many mountains, unlike Belgium which is a flat country. Our students are not used to these views and now they can explore nature. We arrived in Shkodra the day before yesterday. Yesterday we were in the Alps, in Theth, and we went hiking. Also, the city streets are very pleasant. I recommend Shkodra to see the mountains, go hiking and visit the lake.”

Even though it is early spring, the continued presence of tourists proves that Shkodra is becoming a beloved international destination, where nature, culture and hospitality are uniquely intertwined. (A2 Televizion)
