Nearly 70% of the population suffers from "Dry Eye" syndrome. It is a chronic disease that affects the quality of life and requires treatment. Dry Eye disease mainly appears after the age of 35-40.

"The patient presents with complaints of dry eyes, redness, burning, and a foreign body sensation. He is sensitive to light, cannot stand bright lights, and cannot lead a good life in terms of work that may involve long hours in front of the computer."

Ophthalmologists indicate that rheumatism, arthritis, or diabetes contribute to the occurrence of this syndrome. Meanwhile, external factors include air pollution and spending long periods of time in front of electronic devices.

"Any patient who has a disease, especially patients over 50 years old who have other chronic diseases, will always complain about dry eye. So in addition to the therapy we provide for the primary disease, especially in patients with diabetes, dry eye syndrome is very widespread, so this patient will also have dry eye treatment as a companion."

Doctors advise patients not to neglect the signs of this syndrome as they worsen eye and vision problems. They also recommend that medications be applied only after diagnosis by a doctor.  (A2 Televizion)
