After managing to protect scientific research as an integral part of the University in the new science law, higher schools require the commitment of all academic staff for the improvement of study programs.
During a scientific conference, the leaders of the University of Tirana and the Albanian universities in the region express their willingness to cooperate to increase the quality of higher education.
They also called on young researchers to be part of research projects in various fields of science. Only a few weeks ago, during the discussions and approval of the law on science, public and private universities in Albania managed to protect university and academic autonomy, independent from the Academy of Sciences.
Currently, only the University of Tirana has over 500 research projects in progress, while every year over 2200 second-cycle diplomas are defended and 570 doctoral students or scientific researchers are graduated. (A2 Televizion)
