Inter showed their strength and why they are contenders for the Serie A title, as they overcame Monza with a 3-2 victory at San Siro, extending their unbeaten run in the league to 11 (8 wins, 3 draws) and widening their four-point lead over Napoli.
Lautaro Martínez thought he had put the Nerazzurri ahead in the 24th minute, but his goal was ruled out for handball after a VAR review. Monza took advantage of the opportunity and took the lead through Samuele Birindelli, who beat goalkeeper Josep Martínez after a fantastic pass from Dany Mota.
Keita Baldé doubled the lead for the visitors with a superb goal, striking accurately from distance.
However, Inter reacted quickly and narrowed the gap with Marko Arnautović, who headed home after an assist from Denzel Dumfries.
