Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, after being eliminated from the Italian Cup, admitted that his team is tired at this stage of the season.
"We have to compliment Milan because they played a good game. We regret the first half, as we deserved more and were not able to take advantage of the chances created. In the second half we conceded a goal from a corner kick, where we were all very well positioned in the coverage. A ball that remained on Barella's arm... we were not very lucky either. But, clearly in the second half we did much less than in the first", Inzaghi initially said, writes A2.
Further, the black-and-blue coach acknowledged the fatigue of his team, which until yesterday was fighting on all possible fronts.
"We are not used to it, there are two consecutive losses (Bologna and Milan). We must show ourselves capable of resuming in the right way. In Bologna, in my opinion, we did not deserve to win, while today in the second half we lacked energy. We are physically and mentally tired, it is useless to hide it. But, it should not be an excuse. We had a busier calendar than the other teams, but we decided ourselves to do this itinerary that has given us a lot of joy, but also some disappointment, like today's. We are not used to suffering two consecutive losses, we will analyze them well", said Simone Inzaghi.
