Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić arrived in Moscow, despite harsh criticism from the European Union and an attempt to stop his flight by Latvian and Lithuanian authorities.
The presidential plane landed at Vnukovo Airport at 4:30 PM, after a stopover in Azerbaijan yesterday because it was threatened by Ukrainian missiles in the war zone.
To make amends to the Europeans who opposed him, Vladimir Putin greeted Vučić with warm messages of welcome.
Specifically, a message addressed to the Serbian president appeared on several billboards throughout the Russian capital.
“Welcome, Your Excellency, President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vučić,” the billboards read in Serbian and Russian. (A2 Televizion)
