Young people from the Democratic Union for Integration protested at the office of the minister for inter-communal relations in North Macedonia, after the latter provoked Kosovo and was decorated by an association that defends fighters who carry out ethnic cleansing against Albanians.
They demanded the resignation of Ivan Stoiljkovic, accusing him of openly supporting the “Serbian World” project and the Russian agenda in the region.
“Is this the face of the government that promised citizens equality and Euro-Atlantic integration? How can one remain silent when a man who was supposed to defend the Ohrid Agreement is rewarded for glorifying those who massacred the Albanian population during the years 1912-1918? But that was not enough! The official visit and hugs with Milorad Dodik, the leader of the project of division and destruction of the region, openly show who this minister works for and who today runs the state institutions.
On behalf of the youth of the Democratic Union for Integration, but also as young Albanians, we demand the immediate resignation of this minister and the clear distancing of the government from anti-Albanian and anti-Western agendas. This country cannot be a ground for the glorification of genocide and the return of dark projects that want to divide the peoples of this region. We demand the return of interethnic harmony in the country, leaving no room for such shameful provocations by anyone and guaranteeing equality and respect for all ethnicities in the country. We, as young people who are considered the future of this country, are here today to protect our future and the right to dignity.
