A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7 on the Richter scale was recorded a few minutes ago off the coast of the town of Humboldt in California.
According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was west of Petrolia, in the Pacific Ocean.
The tremors have caused panic, while a tsunami warning has been sounded across the coastal area.
Immediately, residents were asked to evacuate to higher ground, while several other aftershocks were recorded in the area. (A2 Televizion)
