"200,000 European troops in Ukraine for peace" - Zelensky's

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke yesterday at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, where he predicted what Europe might look like after the war with Russia ends.

According to foreign media, Zelensky claimed that Moscow would return to Europe with an army ten times larger than the one that invaded Ukraine in 2022 if a peace agreement does not include strong security guarantees.

He said at least 200,000 European soldiers would be needed to serve as peacekeepers in the event of a ceasefire agreement.

This figure, according to Zelensky, was minimal and was nothing compared to what was really needed, writes A2 CNN.

He also warned the forum, held in Davos, that Europe could still be under threat from Russian troops after the war ends.

"Let's not forget, there is no ocean separating European countries from Russia," he said, writes A2 CNN.

"European leaders should remember that these battles involving North Korean soldiers are now taking place in places geographically closer to Davos than Pyongyang," the Ukrainian President further said.

Recall that Russia has requested the help of soldiers from North Korea to fight in its war with Ukraine, amid deepening political and military ties between Moscow and Pyongyang. (A2 Televizion)
