Talks on the war in Ukraine are expected to be held in London, as European leaders seek to reconvene after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to Washington. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said ahead of the summit that Britain, France and Ukraine have agreed to work on a ceasefire plan to present to the United States.
A2 CNN reports that Starmer said the plan came after talks between the leaders of these countries, following the clash that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had with US President Donald Trump at the White House.
Starmer told the BBC that he believes Trump wants a lasting peace in Ukraine. He reiterated his position that security guarantees will be necessary for the peace to be sustainable. (A2 Televizion)
