A photo of the Kosovo Mountains, published by the German Embassy in this country, has sparked a clash online between the latter and Serbian social media users.
"The field trips in this wonderful place are truly impressive with such a stunning panorama. Greetings from the highest peak of Kosovo, Gjeravica and its stunning neighbors," was the caption accompanying the photo posted by the Embassy on its official Facebook page. But the post was followed by a series of negative comments from Serbian citizens, such as "Let everyone know that Kosovo is Serbia," "these are Serbian mountains," or "I love the mountains of Serbia," writes A2 CNN.
The German Embassy did not hesitate to respond to all of them, making the reality of Kosovo clear. Some of the embassy's responses were that "Serbia is Serbia and Kosovo is Kosovo", "The mountains in this photo do not belong to Serbia", "Serbia is beautiful, and we agree. But this post is about the beauties of the mountains of Kosovo". As a result of many such comments, the German Embassy was ordered to close the comments on its post. (A2 Televizion)
