Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran's deposed monarch, called for an uprising in Iran, declaring: "The Islamic Republic has ended and is in decline."
In a speech published in X on Tuesday, Pahlavi said: “Only a general uprising is needed to end this collective nightmare once and for all,” A2 CNN reports.
"Now is the time to rise up. Time to take Iran back. All together," he said. "Don't worry about the day after the fall of the Islamic Republic. Iran will not enter a period of uncertainty or civil war," he added.
In recent years, Israel has strengthened relations with Pahlavi, who has expressed support for Israel's actions, which has brought praise from some in the Iranian diaspora and accusations of treason from others.
His father, the late Shah of Iran, had warm relations with Israel before he was overthrown by the Islamic Revolution in 1979. (A2 Televizion)
