Kremlin denies hitting Ukraine's energy infrastructure and accuses Kiev: No

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accuses counterpart Vladimir Putin of attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure overnight in Helsinki.

According to foreign media, Dmitry Peskov says that Russia has stopped the energy attacks as agreed between Trump and Putin: "There was no other order from the president."

It is Ukraine, he says, that has shown "no reciprocity."

Peskov says Putin's order was "widely available," but Kiev took no action and instead attacked an energy facility in the Krasnodar region, defying peace efforts, writes A2 CNN.

The Russian Defense Ministry has also accused Ukraine of deliberately attacking its energy infrastructure.

The ministry provides more details on the attack in Krasnodar, saying Kiev launched three drones at an oil depot near the village of Kavkazskaya, causing a fire.

"It is absolutely clear that this is another specially prepared provocation by the Kiev regime, aimed at disrupting the US President's peace initiatives," he adds, writes A2 CNN.

The ministry says its forces shot down seven of its missiles that were already in the air when Putin gave his order. They were aimed at Ukrainian energy facilities in the Nikolaev region. (A2 Televizion)
