The most powerful artillery weapons, the French “Caesar” and the Swedish “Archer”, have become key tools in the hands of the Ukrainians, enabling them to fight more effectively against Russian forces.
These systems are designed to survive in a modern war, where drones and other technologies make targets visible on the ground.
Caesar can move and fire within minutes, firing up to three rounds in 15 seconds and departing after 40 seconds. It has a range of up to 25 miles and can carry up to 18 rounds.
The Archer, the fastest, can launch projectiles in just 20 seconds and can reach up to 30 miles, using the Barracuda's special net to hide its markings from thermal cameras.
These weapons are known for their "shoot and pull" tactics, making them difficult to detect and destroy, and have consequently been described as a "nightmare" for the Russian military. (A2 Televizion)
