The European Union's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, says Moscow is not seeking to make concessions in talks on a ceasefire during the ongoing war in Ukraine.
According to foreign media, reacting to the telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump yesterday, and the two statements published afterwards, Kallas says that it is clear that "Russia really does not want to make any kind of concessions."
She tells reporters that Russia instead hopes that Ukraine will become careless, so that it will be easier for it to invade later, writes A2 CNN.
We recall that yesterday, US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation, where they agreed on several issues, including stopping attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Talks will continue on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, as the parties have yet to agree on a 30-day ceasefire, which was part of the US plan. (A2 Televizion)
